Custom printed patches are patches made by printing the design directly onto fabric instead of stitching it with thread. This method is ideal for artwork that includes fine details, gradients, small text, or photo-like images that embroidery cannot reproduce as clearly.
Printed patches work best for highly detailed artwork, photo-style images, gradients, and small lettering. Embroidered patches are better for bold, simple, and textured designs. As a general rule, if your design contains too much detail for thread to reproduce cleanly, a printed patch is usually the better choice.
We commonly use polyester fabric, twill, and canvas for custom printed patches. Polyester is one of the most common options, twill is known for its durability and smooth surface, and canvas offers a more textured appearance. The best material depends on the look and feel you want for your patch.
We offer several backing options, including iron-on backing, sew-on backing, Velcro backing, and adhesive backing. Each option is suited to a different use. Iron-on is convenient for home application, sew-on provides a more secure attachment, Velcro works well for removable patches, and adhesive backing is useful for short-term or temporary use.
Our standard minimum order quantity is usually 50 to 100 pieces per design. We can also provide a single sample piece, but the cost per piece will be much higher than a standard bulk order.
In most cases, yes, but there are still some limitations. Very low-resolution images may not print clearly, neon and metallic colors cannot always be reproduced accurately, and slight color variation may occur because of the printing process. For the best outcome, we recommend submitting the highest-quality file available.
Our preferred file formats are PNG at 300 DPI with a transparent background, as well as AI, PSD, and PDF files for production. We also accept JPG files, but only when they are high resolution. Clear, production-ready artwork helps speed up the review process and improves final print quality.
Sample orders usually take about 3 to 5 business days to produce. Bulk orders generally take around 7 to 12 business days. Shipping time depends on the destination, and delivery to the United States or Europe usually takes about 5 to 10 days(The final production time depends on your quantity)

Yes, custom printed patches are washable. They are water-resistant and can remain colorfast with proper care. To help preserve the print quality, we recommend washing them in cold water and avoiding high-heat drying.
Custom printed patches are durable and suitable for many everyday uses. However, they do not have the same textured surface as embroidered patches, and heavy long-term friction may gradually affect the printed surface. If your patch will be used outdoors for a long time or in heavy-duty conditions, an embroidered patch may be a better option.
Yes, you can order multiple designs in one order. However, each design usually needs to meet the minimum order quantity requirement, or there may be an additional setup fee depending on the order details.
